WHO WE ARE
The Global Charity Foundation was founded in February 2007 and carries out a mission to provide health care and education assistance to the most needy in the United States and India.
In the US, we provide educational assistance for at-risk and less privileged children through our Nevada Student Achievement Program in many different schools in greater Las Vegas. In collaboration with Southern Nevada Children First, we launched a Global Charity Foundation Health Care Program in May, 2015.
In India, we provide chemotherapy treatment for indigent children with cancer. Education assistance is also provided for street children in India.

Reeta Kaul Thukral,

FOUNDING MEMBER AND PRESIDENT
Dr. Reeta K. Thukral immigrated to United States of America in 1973. She was in private practice of clinical nephrology for over 30 years prior to joining VA MC in Las Vegas. Dr. Thukral came to Las Vegas 13 years ago on a post of Chief of Nephrology at VA MC, SNHCS, Las Vegas. At that time VA MC did not have a nephrology department and veterans were sent to community doctors and hospitals for kidney care. In short few years, Dr. Thukral developed the department of nephrology including 20 chair hemodialysis unit. Over period of 2-3 years, she hired three nephrologists to provide a complete nephrology care to our veterans at the VA MC. Dr. Thukral retired from VA MC few years ago.
She has also practiced medicine in India and New Zealand. Dr. Thukral currently resides in Las Vegas NV.
Dr. Thukral is also a Founder / President of Man Mohini Kaul Charitable Medical Trust in India, providing healthcare and education to indigent children in various cities of India.

Renita K. Thukral lives in San Francisco, California, and runs an independent legal, civil rights and consulting practice serving public charter schools and their students across the country. She earned her J.D. from Yale Law School in 2001 and her B.A. from Stanford University in 1997..

Doug Gold is a Financial Advisor at Capstone Past Financial and Insurance Service. Prior to joining Capstone Past in 2020 he was the Wealth Director for BNY Mellon Wealth Management and spent 18 years at a large regional bank in town. He was born and raised in Las Vegas and is active in several organizations throughout the valley. He attended UNLV and lives in Summerlin with his wife, Monika.
Rohini KT McKee
Rohini is currently an Associate Partner on the Strategic Initiatives team at Catalyst:Ed. Rohini manages the K-12 portfolio and works closely with education leaders to help them access the skills, experience, and guidance they need to help their teams innovate, excel, and scale. Prior to working at Catalyst:Ed, Rohini was a management consultant for over 12 years working with education organizations on a range of supports including continuous improvement, data governance, data-driven decision making, IT implementation, strategic planning, and change management.
I am an Investment Advisory Representative with a degree in Economics from California State University, Northridge. I have over 35 years of the Financial Services & Insurance industry experience. I hold Series 7, 63 & 65 securities registrations and am a licensed Health, Life, Long-Term care & Variable Annuity insurance agent. I have completed the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) program through the American College Of Financial Planning and am certified in Long-Term care.
During my off time, I enjoy spending time with my wife of 30 years, two children and extended family. My wife and I enjoy travelling both domestically and internationally. I am an avid golfer, boating enthusiast & Rotarian. I enjoy giving back to our local community through service projects and support of community-based charities.
CHAIR ADVISORY BOARD
Bart Patterson was appointed as president of Nevada State College on April 30, 2012 after serving as interim president for six months. Through his years of service at Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE), Bart is familiar with the mission of Nevada State College. In his role, he has established two top priorities. The first is to improve retention and graduation rates — which is a top priority system-wide. Secondly, to look at innovative ways to build NSC while dealing with limited state funding.
Violeta Alcantara is Vice- President, Business Banking for Bank of Nevada. She has more than 20 years of Business/Commercial banking industry experience in California & Nevada. In previous positions, she has won multiple professional awards from major financial institutions including Bank of America and Wells Fargo.
Ms. Alcantara participates in many local organizations such as Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Asian Chamber of Commerce, Henderson Chamber of Commerce, Water Street District Business Association (WSDBA) and Japan American Society of Nevada (JASN).
Ms. Alcantara earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (Honors program) in Economics from De La Salle University and completed an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Monica Coburn is Managing Director, Nevada Business Advisors. Prior to opening her own business, Nevada Business Advisors, she was with Mutual of Omaha Bank. She has also worked as Senior Relationship Manager with Bank of America Merrill Lynch and in a number of various positions within the industry including Regional Manager and SBA Lending Manager. She has been very active in Community and has received numerous awards for her professional achievements and community work.
